Revisions
I am knee-deep in revisions, and so surprised at what I’m catching. But its the little things. I’m happy on the whole with my plot, I LOVE my characters, and now I’m just trying to make sure the pictures in my head go onto the page so that other people can see them in their heads too.
I’ve never honed so much before. I hope I succeed in chipping away everything that is not the story, so it emerges, David-like, from the page.

I’d thought your chapters were honed. I’ll probably add to mine, but I’ll look for places to cut, too. Whole scenes if I decide I don’t need them.
I LOVE your characters, too. I love your whole book!

Michelle, you and Edie are where I’m looking forward to being soon! I’m trying to wrap up the first draft, but know this one will require the big red pen.
Good luck with your prunning!

I’m in the middle of doing the revisions on “Darkness” and its going pretty darned good. I think I’d managed to hone it pretty good the first time around, but now its just a matter of adding the “spices” to juice up the story a bit more and to make sure the story stays consistent throughout. Then this baby is goin’ out.
